Topsoil Creation

Topsoils for landscape sites can be created using suitable subsoils from the site and adding organic matter. These are usually cheaper than imported topsoil (if it is available) and a truly sustainable solution. Our experience is back over 25 years and we have advised the Waste and Resources Action Programme since its commencement on the use of compost in topsoil creation.

Tree & Shrub Seeding

The direct seeding of trees and shrubs to create woodland and scrub is a traditional technique updated thiry years ago by Tom La Dell and a research programme at Cambridge University. It can be used to create natural looking woodlands with careful design for the site and long term management.
